What we collect, and why.
Rancho Machete is a small direct beef business outside Grass Valley, California. We collect the details you type into a form so we can answer you. We do not sell them, and we do not send marketing to people who have not asked for it.

What you give us
Only what a form asks for. Depending on which one you use, that is your name, email address, phone number, town or ZIP, a delivery or pickup preference, the share, box or cuts you are interested in, and anything you write in a notes field. The reservation form also records which payment method you would prefer to discuss. Restaurant inquiries additionally include your business name, type, and the volume and format your kitchen needs.
We ask for a payment preference only. No card number, bank detail or other payment credential is collected or stored by this website.
What we do with it
We email it to the ranch so a person can read it and reply, and we email a copy back to you as a receipt. That is the whole purpose. We keep inquiries and reservations for as long as we are doing business with you, and for our own records afterwards.
Who else touches it
Resend delivers the email. Your submission passes through their systems in order to reach our inbox and yours.
Vercel hosts the site and provides its traffic analytics. Standard server logs, which include IP addresses, are created when you load a page. The analytics are aggregate and cookie-free — they measure page views, not people.
That is the complete list. There are no advertising trackers, no data brokers, and no third-party pixels on this site.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. You can confirm that in your browser’s developer tools.
Your choices
Write to us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. California residents have these rights under the CCPA, and we extend the same courtesy to everyone regardless of where they live. We will not treat you differently for asking.
Because we do not sell personal information, there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than quietly swapped in.
